After a 21 days of fishing has been started in Tuticorin fishing Harbour there are abundant catch of Squid (Loligo Spp) the Major grades are U/7 and the prices are just Rs.42 per kg and the only problem is there is adequate ice for these abundant catch so some of the material have been de-coloured. If it is preserved properly then the quality is so good. the image shows the squid tubes from the products.
This products are mainly supplied to Seafood packing Industry in Kerala & Tamil Nadu. which is processed packed and exported to Spain, Portugal, Taiwan, UK, Japan, Germany, Thailand.
The most of the products are packed as whole cleaned in 2kg block with 20% glaze and some are packed as squid Tubes mostly IQF and also Block frozen.
